Day 319

Today's Lesson:

I came for the salvation of the world.

Here is a thought form which all arrogance has been removed, and only truth remains. For arrogance opposes truth. But when there is no arrogance the truth will come immediately, and fill up the space the ego left unoccupied by lies. Only the ego can be limited, and therefore it must seek for aims which are curtailed and limiting. The ego thinks that what one gains, totality must lose. And yet it is the Will of God I learn that what one gains is given unto all.

Father, Your Will is total. And the goal which stems from it shares its totality. What aim but the salvation of the world could You have given me? And what but this could be the Will my Self has shared with You?

Miracles I'm noticing:

Today's lesson really strikes a chord with me today. It seems that we struggle with truth so much in our lives. Just one glance at my bookshelf and I see Brad Blanton's book called Radical Honesty, which helps us tell it like it really is; Byron Katie helps us learn what's really true in her "The Work"; Wayne Dyer is guiding us through The Tao in his latest book to help us find "The Way"; and all the time the Truth is inside us, behind the arrogance of our egos. Our egos separate us - they are the parts of us that are scared and broken and judgmental. Our Spirit is one and when we can tap into that, there is no need for that ego. The ego is scared because it is limited and it has to work extra hard to prove that it's not scared by fighting against things. The Spirit stands for things because it doesn't have to prove anything - it just is.

One of the members of one of my master mind groups yesterday was telling about an experience she had last week when she was profoundly moved by the autumn breeze and the color of the sky as she just opened her car window while waiting to pick one of her kids up from school. She said she doesn't really remember ever being in the moment like that when she was just present with what is. I know that feeling - I've been there. But those moments are fleeting if we don't recognize them for what they are. Those are the moments of Truth which are there all the time if we just stop DOING and BE. That's when the defenses come down, the arrogance goes away and Spirit shines through.

God's Will is stronger than ego's. When we tap into that collective consciousness, we hit upon the salvation of the world, if for just an instant. But what more does it take than just that holy instant to see things differently? That's my purpose, I know - to stretch those holy instants into holy seconds and then minutes and then hours and then days. It's really quite simple - in fact, too simple for complicated minds.

Just BE this week, even if only for an instant, and see what shows up for you. It's a great week to experiment, since Thanksgiving is just one week away.

I'm so blessed and grateful for this awareness to see the world as it really is, instead of how my ego thinks it is, even if only for an instant - for now!
